A site visit was carried out on 26 August 2025 for the Flic-en-Flac Bypass Project, stretching from Xavier to Pierrefonds, by the Minister of National Infrastructure, Mr. Govindranath Gunness, Member of the National Assembly, Mr. Balkrishna Babajee, and representatives of the RDA, with the objective of assessing the progress of works. The overall progress of the project stood at 80%, with completion expected by December 2025.
Minister Gunness highlighted that all existing constraints had been identified, including the need for the relocation of CEB utility poles. In this regard, a meeting will be convened to discuss and evaluate possible relocation options. Furthermore, an extension of the project to Avenue Crecerelle was planned.
