Upgrading of Savanne Road (A9) from La Flora to Tyack

The long-term goal of the Government is to provide a modern, safe and efficient land transport system and road network for improved connectivity and mobility of the
people and goods. In the year 2012, the Road Development Authority (RDA), being
the Highway Authority, has upgraded part of the A9 road with the provision of a third
lane from Beau Climat to La Flora.

Moreover, the RDA, as part of the Construction of the Dam at Riviere des Anguilles, has undertaken the realignment of part of A9 road from exit of Tyack Village towards Britannia over a length of approximately 600m to cater for 3-lane traffic associated facilities. The RDA has also completed the Bois Cheri Bypass project which will be eventually extended to connect to the A9 road.

In line with the strategic goals of the RDA and in view of a continuation of the above mentioned completed projects, the RDA is implementing part of the Savanne Road from La Flora to Tyack.
