The Public is hereby informed that due to Slope Stabilisation Works by China International Water & Electric Corp at Chamarel, Plaine Champagne Road B103 will be closed in both directions between Rhumerie de Chamarel and Varangue Sur Morne Restaurant. The road closure will be effective as from 18 March 2024 for a duration of 9 months.
Accordingly, during the road closure time, a traffic diversion scheme has been set up and would be implemented as follows:
- All traffic at Les Mares will be diverted along La Marie-Le Petrin Chamouny Road B102 to join the Black River -Savanne Coast Road B9 for their onwards journey.
- Traffic at Chamarel towards Les Mares will be diverted along Baie Du Cap-Chamarel-Case Noyale Road B104 to join the Black River -Savanne Coast Road B9 for their onwards journey.
Drivers are advised to be cautious when approaching the working areas and obey the traffic signs.
