A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Wednesday 28th February 2024 at the RDA Head Office in Ebene, between the Road Development Authority (RDA) and the Mauritius Institute of Training and Development (MITD) for NC4 draughtsmanship training under the National Apprenticeship Programme (NAP).
The signature ceremony was held in the presence of the Minister of National Infrastructure and Community Development, Hon Mahendranuth Sharma Hurreeram and the Chairperson of the Mauritius Institute of Training and Development (MITD) Board, Mr Harrykrishna Vydelingum and other personalities. Signatories were the General Manager of RDA, Mr. Nazeer Mowlabaccus and the Director of MITD, Mr. Sayadaly Maudarbocus.
Minister Hurreeram indicated that the MoU will provide students of the MITD the opportunity to translate what they have learnt in real life situations. Consequently, the students will take cognizance of the workload and responsibilities. This real work experience will empower the students as well as help them to emerge as more responsible citizens and contribute to the development of the country.
