The Road Development Authority (RDA) and Medine Group signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the construction of the segment from Pierrefonds to Cascavelle under the Flic en Flac Bypass on Thursday 08 September 2022. The project is scheduled to start early 2023 and is expected to be completed by end of 2024.
An approximate cost of Rs 950 million, will be equally shared between the RDA and Medine, who will put around, 162.49 Arpents for the construction of La Vigie-La Brasserie-Beaux Songes Link Road and the segment Cascavelle to Pierrefonds.
Medine representatives including his CEO, Mr Dhiren Ponnusamy, high officials of the Road Development Authority, the Ministry of National Infrastructure and Community Development (MNICD); and the CEO of the Economic Development Board, Mr. Ken Poonoosamy proceeded with the signature of the Agreement in presence of the eminent personalities including the Minister of National Infrastructure and Community Development (MNICD), Hon. Mahendranuth Sharma Hurreeram, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade, Minister of Land Transport and Light Rail, Hon. Alan Ganoo. Hon. Nand Prakash Ramchurrun, Private Parliamentary Secretary, Hon. Mrs Marie Sandra Mayotte, Member of Parliament were also present for the occasion.
