On 27 April 2021, further to torrential rainfall in the region of Vacoas bridges found along Takamaka River were flooded. Following the flooding event, Land Drainage Authority (LDA) recommended the reconstruction of the Takamaka bridge along Vacoas-La Marie Road (B64) under the National Flood Management Programme (NFMP).
The Contractor was selected from RDA Framework Agreement for Road and Minor works (2020-2023) through established Call Off procedures.
