The Minister of National Infrastructure, Mr Govindranath Gunness, officially inaugurated a new 100-metre link road along Sir Edgar Laurent Street in Curepipe this morning.
Valued at approximately Rs 17.9 million and completed within seven months, the project enhances connectivity between Bigara and the Phoenix–Plaissance Road (A10), thereby reducing travel detours for local residents.
The scope of works included the construction of a reinforced concrete culvert, drainage improvements, relocation of existing utilities, and the installation of road furniture.
