Minister G. Gunness carried out a site visit on Tuesday 26 August 2025 at 14:00<br \/>hrs to assess the progress of works being executed by the Contractor, Beijing Construction<br \/>Engineering Group, under the supervision of Luxconsult (Mtius) Ltd.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project, which commenced in October 2022, forms part of the Government\u2019s strategy to<br \/>modernise road infrastructure and improve traffic flow in the region. With an expected<br \/>completion date in September 2025, the works are now at an advanced stage. As of August<br \/>2025, the physical progress stands at 95%.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the visit, the Hon. Minister interacted with representatives of the Contractor and the<br \/>Supervising Consultant. He was apprised of the various stages of construction that have been<br \/>completed and the few outstanding works that are currently being finalised. These include<br \/>road finishing works, landscaping, and safety installations.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hon. Minister expressed his satisfaction with the rate of progress achieved on site. He<br \/>also highlighted the importance of timely completion so that the public may benefit from<br \/>improved connectivity, reduced congestion, and enhanced road safety.<br \/>The project is expected to bring significant socio-economic benefits once operational, by<br \/>facilitating smoother traffic circulation, reducing travel time, and supporting regional<br \/>development.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section
