Additionally, it will also involve the construction of culverts and drainage structures and the widening of the road where required. The existing bridge is a stone structure with its deck being supported by 1 beam and consists of major defects. The beam is in advanced corrosion, showing signs of weakening and sagging. The road alignment along the bridge consists of two successive sharp bends.
